VacationMode

A WP Aligned continuity benefit

What it is

VacationMode is what you activate before you go — a real trip with your family, a week off the grid, a stretch of time where you'd like to not think about your agency at all.

You tell us you're going. We keep watch while you're gone.

Three things happen while it's on:

  1. We take a more proactive approach across your account and your clients' sites.
  2. We widen our support scope and take on work we wouldn't ordinarily cover.
  3. Do what is in the best interest of the customer to help them.

The point is that you actually get to leave. Answering questions or issues from a hotel room isn't a vacation, and we'd rather you didn't.

Who it's for

Every WP Aligned partner that has customers on Pro Tier and above.

This is a benefit for the agency owner, not a per-client feature. When you activate VacationMode, it applies to your whole portfolio with us.

Before you go

Send us a note with your dates. That's the whole process.

If you have a few minutes, these help us cover you better:

  • Which clients are most likely to need something while you're away
  • Anything time-sensitive landing during your dates — a launch, a renewal, a promised deliverable
  • Who to reach if something genuinely can't wait
  • Our goal will be to make a call and sort the customer in the best way for them, but any red lines we shouldn't cross would be good to know

What we do while VacationMode is active

We answer what we can. Tickets that we'd normally route back to you — plugin conflicts, a broken form, a layout that drifted after an update, a restore request — we take a swing at instead of waiting on your reply.

We watch the alerts and act. Uptime, malware flags, failed backups, resource warnings. Normally some of these are a notify-and-wait. During VacationMode we act first and tell you after.

We hold the line with your clients. We want your clients to know that even when you're out, they are in safe hands.

You come back to a summary, not a backlog. A short written recap of what happened, what we did, what's still open, and what needs you.

If your plans change

Extending the trip, or coming home early? Just tell us. Nothing here is rigid.

If you're not going anywhere pleasant — if you're out because you're ill or caring for someone who is — see SickMode instead. Same idea, no notice required.
